Padmini Chandrasekaran is a graphic designer living in Brooklyn, NY.

I moved to New York, 4 years ago to attend Parsons, The New School for Design where I graduated in May 2010 from the Communication Design department. I was born in India but before I even turned one, my family moved to a multi-cultural country in the Middle East called Bahrain. Growing up in the Middle East has always allowed me to see beyond just the environment that I was from and instead take into account diversity of cultures. Ever since moving to NYC and the States, I have found my international background to be one of the most valuble experiences I have.

When it comes to design, I am always trying to challenge myself. Whether I fall back on my favorite typefaces or spend hours using construction paper cut outs to create a cool texture or try to incorporate my ridiculous obsessions within pop culture, I am happiest when I find a way to make a project fresh and new to me.
